Raleigh..............with push pedals! :B Actually he does have a Kawasaki Vulcan and was trying to get me to buy a road bike of some kind. Never was into motorcycles and not going to start now.

My niece's husband is a Chicago police officer down there....they've stayed here with us a couple of times during this summer....I've heard the stories. They are disgusted and frustrated because they can't keep the bad guys off the streets.

The banks failed! Just like that eh?? No accountability, no one was in charge, no regulators were discouraged or pressured not to do their jobs? They just failed on their own eh??? :h BTW....Ken you have a business, MC has one, I know a few others who have one. Did any of you people have trouble getting money to pay your employees, or for any other operations?? jus askin. The big threat was no money and the banks drying up......never heard of anyone I know of having that problem. Sounded like BS to me!

Appropriations are not the same as pork. The president has no way of knowing what is needed in every congressman's district, so appropriations are used by them ALL to channel money to their areas for different projects. Pork is a line item in an appropriation which circumvents the established budgetary procedure. Don't mix the 2, they are not the same.
